Where the Maghreb meets the world
The client came to us with a clear ambition: to build a world-class news platform that centers the Maghrebi perspective in global conversations. Not a regional outlet covering local stories but a serious, international press destination that reports on the world through a distinct and underrepresented lens.
We built everything from the ground up brand identity, interface design, and a full digital platform engineered for the demands of 24-hour news at a global scale.
The result is a media brand with the visual authority of an international outlet and the editorial identity of a voice that has something genuinely different to say.
Perspective, reach & editorial weight
Rather than replicating the visual grammar of existing news giants, we set out to build something with its own identity. a platform that signals independence, intellectual seriousness, and a commitment to telling stories that others overlook.
Our strategy centered on giving Maghrebv4 both regional credibility and global legibility: a brand that feels at home covering geopolitics as much as it does reporting on culture, economics, and society across the Arab world and beyond.

The discovery
During research we found that English-language world news is dominated by Western editorial frameworks leaving significant gaps in how North African and Arab perspectives are represented in global media conversations.
We also found that audiences drawn to alternative news sources don’t just want different content, they want a platform that looks and feels credible enough to take seriously. Aesthetics and authority are inseparable in media.
These two findings defined the entire design and brand direction.
Authority without imitation
We deliberately avoided mimicking the visual language of legacy news institutions. Instead, we built a brand identity grounded in editorial confidence, typographic strength, and a visual system that feels contemporary and distinctly its own.
The result is a platform that commands attention on its own terms not by resembling others, but by establishing a presence that is immediately recognizable as Maghrebv4.

Editorial-led design system
The identity, layout architecture, and interface components weren’t assembled from templates:
they were constructed around the specific rhythms and demands of world news publishing.
Story hierarchy shaped the grid system. The speed of breaking news influenced the interface logic. And the brand’s North African roots informed a visual identity that carries cultural weight without reducing itself to symbolism.
